Yu-Hui Chang composes orchestral, chamber, choral, and solo music. Her honors include Guggenheim and Radcliffe fellowships and awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Educated in Taiwan and the United States, she is the Victor and Gwendolyn Beinfield Professor of Music at Brandeis University.
Yu-Hui Chang is a composer of orchestral, chamber, choral, and solo music whose work has been performed across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Her commissions include projects for the Fromm, Barlow, Koussevitzky, and Naumburg foundations, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, Boston Musica Viva, and the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble. Her honors include Guggenheim and Radcliffe fellowships, the Yoshiro Irino Memorial Prize, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters’ Charles Ives Fellowship and Arts and Letters Award. Chang studied at National Taiwan Normal University, Boston University, and Brandeis University, where she earned her doctorate. She is the Victor and Gwendolyn Beinfield Professor of Music at Brandeis.
