Dan Visconti is a composer whose music draws on classical performance, improvisation, rock, and folk traditions. Born in 1982, he has developed a practice that connects concert music with questions about community and the social role of artists. His work includes commissions for orchestras, chamber ensembles, and soloists, and he was named a TED Fellow in 2014.
