Esther Yang is an internationally recognized violinist whose performances have earned acclaim throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Praised for her expressive musicianship, refined artistry, and compelling musical voice, she has distinguished herself at numerous prestigious international competitions. She was a semifinalist in both the 2023 Premio Paganini Competition and the 2024 Windsor Festival International Competition. She also received Third Prize at the Ysaÿe International Competition and First Prizes at both the Adelphi Orchestra Young Artist Competition and the Mary Smart Concerto Competition. Her additional honors include Second Prize at the New York International Music Competition, special awards at the Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition in Hungary and the Osaka International Music Competition in Japan, as well as the Manfred Grommek-Förderpreis at the Kronberg Academy Violin & Viola Masterclasses. Esther has appeared as a soloist with the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Casco Phil, and Busan Philharmonic Orchestra. Her notable performances have taken place in renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Casals Forum, Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, Jordan Hall, Liège Philharmonic Hall, Palazzo Doria Tursi, Teatro Carlo Felice, Taipei NTCH Recital Hall, National Taichung Theater, Seoul Arts Center, Kumho Art Hall, and Busan Cultural Center Theater. Upcoming engagements include her debut on the Manchester Midday Concert Series at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, United Kingdom. A passionate chamber musician, Esther has participated in the Schiermonnikoog Festival, Crans Montana Festival, the Egmont Chamber Music Concert Series, Villars Music Academy, Juilliard ChamberFest, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, the Summit Music Festival, the Spring Forward Festival at the New England Conservatory, the Taipei Music Academy & Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival as an orchestral fellowship recipient. She has collaborated with distinguished artists including Gary Hoffman, Corina Belcea, Augustin Dumay, Frank Braley, Miguel da Silva, Joseph Lin, Merry Peckham. From an early age, Esther was inspired by the artistry of the legendary violinist Aaron Rosand, whose influence continues to shape her musical voice. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory and her Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Joseph Lin. She is currently an Artist-in-Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the guidance of Augustin Dumay.
