Four months after winning Naumburg’s 2025 Chamber Music Competition, the Terra String Quartet appeared at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The April 3, 2026, concert took place in Caroline H. Hume Concert Hall through the conservatory’s partnership with the Foundation.
There is a personal history behind the series. Its underwriter, Sin-Tung Chiu, was mentored by Robert Mann, who led Naumburg with Lucy Mann for more than 50 years. Chiu supports the concerts in memory of his parents, Bella and P.P. Chiu, and in recognition of the two families’ friendship.
