Jury announced for the 2026 Naumburg International Violin Competition

Seven renowned violinists will hear the final round on November 1 at the 9nd Street Y. See the jury panels for the preliminary, semifinal and final rounds.

Seven violinists will serve on the final-round jury of the 2026 Naumburg International Violin Competition: Daniel Phillips, Glenn Dicterow, Kathy Winkler, Masao Kawasaki, Mihaela Martin, Nicholas Mann and Pamela Frank.

The competition runs October 27 through November 1 in New York. The panels expand as the rounds progress.

Preliminary round · October 27–29

Daniel Phillips, Kathy Winkler, Masao Kawasaki and Nicholas Mann will hear the preliminary rounds at Symphony Space’s Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater. These rounds are closed to the public.

Semifinal · October 31

Glenn Dicterow and Mihaela Martin join Phillips, Winkler, Kawasaki and Mann for the semifinal at Manhattan School of Music’s Greenfield Hall.

Final · November 1

Pamela Frank joins the six semifinal jurors for the final at Kaufmann Concert Hall, 92NY. Both the semifinal and final will be open to the public and livestreamed.
