Mezzo-soprano Erin Wagner and pianist Maureen Zoltek appeared together at Manhattan School of Music on March 22, 2026. The Greenfield Recital Hall concert was part of Naumburg at MSM, then in its third year of presenting Naumburg winners with ties to the school.
Wagner received the Foundation’s Vocal Award in 2021. Zoltek earned her doctorate at MSM in 2013, studying with Warren Jones.
The recital announcement identified Zoltek as music director of the Houston Grand Opera Studio. Her earlier work on the San Francisco Opera music staff included serving as an assistant conductor, vocal coach and orchestral keyboardist, with credits on the premieres of operas by Mark Adamo, Bright Sheng and John Adams.
