Violinist Peter Winograd joined the American String Quartet in 1990. A prizewinner at the 1988 Naumburg International Violin Competition, he studied with Dorothy DeLay at Juilliard, where he earned bachelor's and master's degrees. He has appeared as a soloist and recitalist in the United States and abroad and has served on the violin and chamber music faculties of Manhattan School of Music and the Aspen Music School.
