Violinist Peter Matzka studied at SUNY Purchase, the Eastman School of Music, and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. His teachers included Sándor Végh, Sylvia Rosenberg, Donald Weilerstein, and Charles and Heidi Castleman. A founding member of the Chester Quartet and a member of the Vienna String Sextet, he served as concertmaster of the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and taught chamber music at Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts.
