Miray Ito

International award-winning violinist Miray Ito has captivated audiences with performances noted for her sensitivity and expressive intensity. She has appeared in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Warner Theatre, and has earned top honors in competitions across North America and Europe. A recipient of the 2022 Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant, Miray was also named the 2018 “Young Artist of the Year” by the Ruth Laredo Memorial Foundation and received both the Joan Graham Award and Irene Kinsey Stare Award from Tuesday Musicale of Detroit. As a soloist, Miray has performed with ensembles including the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Baden-Baden Philharmonic, and Toledo Symphony Orchestra. Miray is a graduate of both The Juilliard School and the Yale School of Music, where she has studied with Augustin Hadelich, Stella Chen, and Li Lin. Miray performs on a 1734 Pietro Guarneri violin generously loaned by the Ryuji Ueno Foundation.
