Florence Vickland, soprano, was a winner in the 1935 Walter W. Naumburg Competition. She studied at the Juilliard School and performed in various concerts and recitals, primarily in the 1940s and 1950s, including works by Richard Hageman. She was associated with Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia, and performed in several musical events during that period. Additionally, she taught voice and mentored students, some of whom achieved recognition in music competitions.
